Management Accounts Built on Reconciled Books

EICRA Soft Limited provides outsourced accounting services in Bangladesh for companies that already keep reconciled books: month-end close, accruals and provisions, a monthly management reporting pack, and financial statements prepared under IFRS as adopted in Bangladesh, delivered by a named accountant and reviewer in Dhaka inside your own QuickBooks Online, Xero or Zoho Books file.

Builds on the bookkeeping service or on books your own team keeps · Management-side work, not audit · NDA and DPA signed before any ledger is opened · Delivered from Dhaka, Bangladesh on UTC+6

Every Reporting Period You Receive

  • A closed ledger with accruals, prepayments, depreciation and provisions posted
  • A management pack: profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and margin by line
  • Variance notes explaining movements against the prior period and the budget
  • A schedule file behind every balance, ready for your auditor or lender
  • A reviewer’s sign-off from a second accountant who did not post the period

Who it is for

Who Uses EICRA’s Accounting Services?

Four kinds of finance owner arrive here with four different gaps between their books and the report they need. Each block names what that buyer receives, so the fit is clear before a call.

Foreign Subsidiaries and Branch Offices

Your Bangladesh entity closes on the group calendar, in the group chart of accounts, with a local statutory set prepared from the same ledger.

  • Month-end close aligned to your head-office reporting deadline
  • Group-format pack and IFRS statements from one reconciled ledger
  • Branch and liaison office records kept in the form your local auditor asks for

Local Companies Without a Finance Lead

A monthly management pack and a cash-flow view your bank and your board can read, without hiring a full-time accountant.

  • Management accounts on an agreed date each month
  • Cash-flow statement and a short rolling forecast built from the ledger
  • A named accountant who answers the questions a board asks

Companies Already on EICRA Bookkeeping or EOR

The accounting layer added on top of the books we already reconcile, or alongside the payroll we already run for your entity.

  • Accruals, provisions and depreciation posted on the reconciled ledger
  • Payroll cost from our employer-of-record service booked and reconciled to the ledger
  • One scope letter, one reviewer, one monthly close date

Finance Managers With a One-Off Project

A defined piece of accounting work with a start and an end: a policy paper, an audit file, or the treatment of one complex transaction.

  • Accounting policy and procedure drafting for a new entity or a new standard
  • Audit-readiness file assembled before the external auditor arrives
  • Position papers on revenue, leases, combinations or impairment, written for management

Scope

What Does the Accounting Service Include?

Six deliverables that start where bookkeeping stops. Take them as one monthly service, or take the audit-readiness and technical advisory work as a defined one-off engagement.

01

Monthly Accounting Close

Accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions and intercompany balances posted on the reconciled ledger, so the period closes on judgement rather than on the bank balance alone.

02

Management Reporting Pack

Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and margin by product or cost centre, compared against the prior period and the budget, with variance notes written in plain language.

03

Accounts Payable and Receivable

Supplier bills approved, scheduled and matched to payments; customer invoices aged, chased on an agreed cycle and reconciled to receipts, with both ledgers tied to the control accounts.

04

IFRS Financial Statements

Annual and interim statements with notes prepared under IFRS as adopted in Bangladesh, or under your group’s reporting framework, from the same reconciled ledger.

05

Audit File and Readiness Support

A schedule for every balance, a reconciliation for every control account and a document behind every entry, assembled before your licensed auditor asks, with auditor queries answered during fieldwork.

06

Technical Accounting Advisory

Written position papers on revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations and debt or equity instruments, prepared for management and ready to hand to the auditor.

Also covered. Accounting policy and procedure manuals drafted for a new entity or a newly adopted standard.

Also covered. Cash-flow statements and a short rolling forecast built from the ledger, not from a separate spreadsheet.

Also covered. Cloud accounting setup and migration into Xero, QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books or Sage, with opening balances agreed in writing.

Not covered. Statutory audit, audit opinions, signed statutory accounts and tax-return filing, which belong to a licensed firm.

Process

From Reconciled Ledger to Management Pack

The accounting close runs after the bookkeeping close, on a date agreed at onboarding. Each step hands a defined output to the next, and the reviewer who signs off is never the accountant who posted the adjustments.

Receive the Reconciled Ledger

The close starts only from a ledger whose bank, card and control accounts are already reconciled, whether by our bookkeeping team or by yours. Unreconciled differences are listed, not absorbed.

You receive: open-items list

Post Period-End Adjustments

Accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, payroll cost and intercompany balances posted with a working behind each journal, using the same policy every period so comparatives stay honest.

You receive: adjusted trial balance

Reviewer Checks and Signs Off

A second accountant checks every adjustment against its working, challenges unusual movements and signs the period off in writing before any report leaves the ledger.

You receive: review notes

Management Pack and Variance Notes

Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and margin analysis prepared from the signed-off ledger, with each material movement explained against the prior period and the budget.

You receive: monthly pack

Walk-Through Call and File

A short call takes you through the pack and the open decisions, then schedules and source documents are filed against each balance in your own storage, ready for an auditor or lender months later.

You receive: schedule file

Technical accounting

When Do You Need Technical Accounting Advice?

When one transaction does not fit the routine close. We prepare a written position paper for management that sets out the facts, the standard that applies and the entries proposed, so the discussion with your auditor starts from a document rather than from memory. The standards themselves are published by the IFRS Foundation.

Revenue recognition IFRS 15: identifying performance obligations, allocating the price and timing recognition for contracts, subscriptions and multi-element sales.
Lease accounting IFRS 16: right-of-use assets and lease liabilities for offices, warehouses and vehicles, with the discount-rate working documented.
Business combinations IFRS 3: purchase price allocation, goodwill and the acquired entity’s opening balance sheet after a merger or acquisition.
Impairment IAS 36: recoverable-amount testing for goodwill, intangibles and plant when results or forecasts fall below plan.
Debt, equity and hedging IFRS 9 and IAS 32: convertible notes, preference shares, embedded derivatives and the hedge documentation a treasury position needs.
Fair value and consolidation IFRS 13 and IFRS 10: measurement hierarchy, control assessment and group consolidation entries for subsidiaries and joint arrangements.

Jurisdiction

Which Standards Apply to a Bangladesh Entity?

Four obligations sit on a company registered in Bangladesh. The table names each one, what it means for the books, and the point at which EICRA’s management-side work stops and a licensed firm’s regulated work begins.

Obligation What it means for your accounts Where EICRA stops
Books of account The Companies Act 1994 requires every company to keep proper books of account at its registered office. We keep and close those books in your own software. Nowhere: this is the core of the service.
Financial reporting framework Statements are prepared under IFRS as adopted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, with any local departures noted. Foreign subsidiaries usually need a group-format set from the same ledger as well. We prepare the statements and notes; we do not sign them.
Statutory audit A licensed chartered accountancy firm audits the statements and issues the opinion. We assemble the audit file, answer queries and post agreed adjustments. The audit itself, and the opinion, belong to your licensed auditor.
Tax and VAT returns Corporate tax, withholding and VAT returns are filed with the National Board of Revenue by your tax agent. We hand over closed books and the schedules the return needs. Return preparation and filing sit with your tax agent, in Bangladesh or at home.
Why this boundary helps you. Because EICRA does not audit, we are not bound by auditor-independence rules. We can draft your accounting policies, write the position paper that defends a treatment and prepare the file your auditor will test, all on management’s side of the table.

Why EICRA

Four Commitments Behind Every Accounting Engagement

An outsourced accounting service fails in predictable ways: the close slips, the adjustments have no working, the person who knew the entity leaves, and the data ends up in the provider’s systems. Each commitment below closes one of those failures.

Management-Side, Independent of the Auditor

We work for the company’s management, not for the audit firm. That lets us draft policies, defend treatments and prepare the audit file without the independence constraint a licensed auditor carries.

A Working Behind Every Journal

No adjustment is posted without a schedule that shows how the figure was built. The reviewer checks the working, not just the number, and the file is what your auditor tests.

The Same Accountant and Reviewer Each Period

A named accountant closes the period and a named reviewer signs it off. Continuity is written into the scope letter, and a change of staff is notified before it happens, not after.

Your Ledger, Your Storage, Written Scope

The ledger stays in your own subscription and the schedules in your own storage. NDA and DPA are signed first, the scope letter names the reports and the close date, and access is removed at handover.

FAQs

How Do Buyers Vet an Outsourced Accounting Team?

By asking the ten questions below. Cost is first, because it is the question every enquiry opens with.

How much do outsourced accounting services cost?

The monthly close and management pack starts at $490 per entity per month. A one-off engagement such as an audit file or a position paper is a fixed fee from $1,500. The price depends on the number of entities, the volume of adjustments and the reporting framework.

What is the difference between your bookkeeping and accounting services?

Bookkeeping records what happened: every transaction posted and every bank balance reconciled. Accounting explains what it means: accruals, provisions, depreciation, margin analysis and the management pack a board reads. This page covers the accounting layer; the bookkeeping service produces the reconciled ledger it starts from, and you can take either without the other.

Can you take over accounting if our own team keeps the books?

Yes. We start from your team’s reconciled ledger, list any differences we find rather than absorbing them, and run the close, review and reporting steps on top. Your bookkeeper keeps posting; our accountant and reviewer own the period-end adjustments and the management pack.

Do you prepare statements under IFRS or under our group’s framework?

Both, from the same ledger. A Bangladesh-registered entity receives statements under IFRS as adopted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, with local departures noted. A foreign subsidiary usually also needs a set in the parent’s framework and chart of accounts, and we prepare that pack on the group’s reporting calendar.

Who signs the financial statements and who is legally accountable?

Your directors sign the statements and your licensed auditor signs the audit opinion; EICRA signs neither. We are accountable under the scope letter for preparing the statements, the notes and the schedule file accurately and on the agreed date. The regulated acts, the audit and the tax filing, stay with the licensed firms your company appoints.

What happens after we enquire?

A scoping call first, then paperwork, then access. In order:

  1. You send your latest trial balance, chart of accounts and the reports you need.
  2. We hold a scoping call and send a written scope naming the entities, the reports and the close date.
  3. NDA and DPA are signed, and you grant named, least-privilege access to your accounting software.
  4. The first close runs on the agreed date and ends with a walk-through call.
How is our financial data handled?

It stays in your own accounting software and document storage; nothing is copied to EICRA’s servers. Only the named accountant and reviewer on your engagement have access, it is least-privilege, and it is removed at handover. An NDA and a DPA are signed before any ledger is opened, and clients under GDPR can have the DPA carry the transfer terms their regulator expects.

How long does the first close take?

The first close finishes at the close date agreed in the scope letter, after access is granted and the opening balances are confirmed. If the ledger is not reconciled or a backlog exists, that catch-up work finishes first, because a management pack built on unreconciled openings would have to be restated. We state the close date in writing rather than promising a number of days.

How do we switch from our current accounting provider?

Nothing is migrated, because the ledger already sits in your own software. The handover runs in this order:

  1. You grant our named staff access to the existing file and the last closed period’s schedules.
  2. We review that period, list open items and confirm the opening balances with you in writing.
  3. You remove the previous provider’s access.
  4. The first close runs from the agreed opening balances.
What does the accounting service not include?

We do not audit, issue opinions, sign statutory accounts or prepare and file tax or VAT returns, because those are licensed activities that belong to your auditor and tax agent. We also do not run a live dashboard: the service works on a fixed close cycle, so a mid-month figure comes from the last signed-off period, not from real-time data.
